The Triathlon Ireland awards event was held at the Sport Ireland Campus in Dublin on May 8, the first time in three years it was able to be held due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

This event is a celebration of triathlon achievement, a day during which outstanding contributions to the sport from volunteers, officials, coaches, and clubs are acknowledged, and also a day where athletes who were successful in the various championships and leagues (series) throughout the previous year are presented with their winners’ medals.

Gerard Vowles from Mallow Triathlon Club received the Coach of the Year award for his outstanding contribution to the club and commitment to its members. Congradulations to Ger for his achievement and well deserved.
