On Saturday Aug 26^th Ed McDonell took on the Hardman long distance triathlon race.  Killarney Golf and Fishing Club host the start of the race with the 3.8km swim taking place in the lakes of Killarney. After finishing the swim, it is onto the 180km bike route. This route incorporates the scenic Ring of Kerry starting at the Golf and Fishing Club and finishing at the entrance to the national park across from the Cathedral. Here the bikes are racked, and the run begins. The last element of this long-distance race is a 42.2km run in Killarney National Park. Well done on a great finish
