This year the Dublin City (DCT) Triathlon by Piranha Triathlon Club and based out of the Garda boat club was host to the European Junior Championship race. The swim is in the river Liffey and the bike and run course take you through the phoenix park. With the road between Chapelizod and Island gate bridge entrances to the Phoenix Park gates closed to traffic the location is well suited to accommodate the race of European significance.
